November Events bulletin

Greetings from the feeling of gazing up while a shower of brilliant leaves sweeps sideways by--

In many ways this October felt to me like a long series of trust falls: Falling backwards into our busiest time of the year directly after opening the Classroom, trusting in the experience gleaned from our past four holiday seasons to catch us up. Falling backwards into multiple medical uncertainties, trusting in the support of strong relationships to maintain some equilibrium. Falling backwards into event after event after event, trusting in all of you to come out and share, in new collaborators to hold the space with tenderness and wisdom, in time to make all of this easier with practice and patience. So far, all that trust feels very well-placed.

As much as there is some part of me that would like to fall backwards onto a soft surface and just stay there until the other side of daylight savings (hibernation seems prettttty legit), ALL of me is deeply grateful for where I find myself. Time and time again, y'all make this dream a reality. As we enter this quick descent toward the shortest day, I look forward to seeing even more of you at some of the great, hobbit-forward events coming up, helping you find entertaining and edifying gifts for many loved ones, and generally keeping that fire of good community lit through the dark months ahead.

In gratitude,

Chris
