Supreme anglers, Ospreys are found on every continent except for Antarctica. These rangy hawks hunt for fish with long, hooked talons, their yellow eyes studying the water below. In North America, their numbers have recovered dramatically since the ban on the pesticide DDT. They often build their nests on man-made platforms and other artificial structures, returning to them year after year.
Bird Collective will donate 20% of the profits from this patch to the Yurok Tribe of northern California as it works to restore the waterways that Ospreys rely on for fish.
All embroidered bird patches have an iron-on backing, but the adhesive is temporary. For durability, we recommend sewing or using a permanent, flexible fabric glue.
