Join local mushroom cultivator, educator, and all-around Mycophilic guy Luke Sarrantonio in the Chicory Classroom for an evening of flavors and learning! We’ll discuss the many reasons to eat more mushrooms, while tasting mushroom delights and sipping functional mushroom beverages. Cold season is upon us, mushrooms can help with immunity!

This workshop is aimed at adults, but kids with attention and interest are welcome to attend.

The Chicory Classroom aims to make nature education accessible to all, so if the cost of the workshop is a barrier for you, free and reduced fees are available, just email chris@chicorynaturalist.com.

Luke Sarrantonio grew up in Rosendale, New York, exploring the local landscape and its unique ecology. He truly discovered Fungi while studying at SUNY ESF and immediately fell in love! He has since developed a dynamic career based around this passion for Fungi. Luke’s work includes educational programming focused on ecological understanding and cultivation, facilitating community projects (Eat More Mushrooms Project), and creating a line of functional mushroom products (under the name Mycophilic). He also consults for outdoor mushroom farms, and manages his own in Accord, NY. Luke’s main goal is to be an accessible resource for people who want to learn more about this fascinating group of life.
