Come learn and make your own nature house with your child for fairies or just for your own delight using all natural materials! Bring some natural treasures from where you live, choose from those we offer or combine the two. Come a half hour early if you want to go down by the Roundout and find some treasures there. We will build our magical tiny houses in the wonderful workshop space at Chicory Naturalist store and create some fairy dolls as well!
This workshop will be provided by Jill Olesker, a storyteller and teaching artist who has an endless curiosity about all beings in nature and the magic of our imaginations. She has helped children find ways to create Fairyhouses for over 20 years at libraries, summer camps, arts organizations, and sometimes even with families she happens to meet on her walks in the woods.
When: Sunday, July 9th from 1:00 - 3:00
Where: Chicory Naturalist Community Space
This workshop is intended for children. Children aged 9 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Chicory aims to make nature education accessible to all, so if the cost of the workshop is a barrier for you, free and reduced fees are available, just email Courtney at email@example.com.
